Located in beautiful Sitka Alaska lies the Dragon Lady, sitting quietly in a lush harbor with the fishermen and travelers and was built in 1943 during World War II.
Sitka was settled by Russians who named the area New Archangel. In 1867 the United States purchased Alaska from the Russians and Sitka was the site for the transaction. Sitka was the capitol of Alaska until the capitol moved to Juneau.
The area is known for fishing, brown bears, and raptors. Along with deep forests and mild oceanic climate it is 735 miles by air or sea to Vancouver, BC. Many of the residents bicycle or Kayak as there are only 14 miles of roadway.
The 80 foot trawler has a large wheelhouse and a full 60 x 15 upper deck with flying bridge. Tank capacities.3 fuel tanks X. 650 gallons 4 water tanks X 125 gallons
Living quarters is a Galley kitchen with a breakfast bar, gas stove, refrigerator , freezer, dishwasher and a double sink.
The Salon is spacious for sofas and chairs and a fireplace. Three state rooms downstairs include the shower, washer hookup, and more.
Back deck has a large BBQ grill. Wrap around deck on the main floor. There is a davit for lifting.
It has twin 671 Detroit Diesels with grey marine twin disk transmissions, Stainless shafts and 4 blade props. #12 anchor with new chains. 7 kw generator.
The Dragon Lady needs a new owner to restore and bring her back to her original status. She would make a great set for a movie! Or a wonderful restored houseboat for vacationers.
