The O'Day is set up with helm wheel steering, a roller furling headsail, and a boom-stacked mainsail with cover. She is easy to sail and can be captained from the dry cockpit.
This beamy 28-footer makes room in the cabin to sleep up to 5. The V-berth is forward, there are two settees opposite the center table, and a quarter berth. The cabin is set up with an alcohol stove, a microwave, pressurized water, a water heater, and a refrigerator.
Auxiliary power aboard the ship is a Yanmar 2QM diesel engine. The boat is equipped with shorepower, navigation lights, and wind, speed, depth instrumentation.
