50ft 2001 Gibson Executive2 owners, always keep on covered dock.
This boat experienced fuel vapor explosion caused by the fuel cell separating and fumes built-up causing an explosion. The vapors blew the engine hatch open, then causing about 25ft of the roof to be lifted. The engines have been tested by insurance and are good. The blower exhaust pipes are melted, so would need replacing.
This is a great boat and we really have enjoyed, but don't have the time to rebuild and our family is growing so looking for bigger boat. Great project for someone who rebuilds boats.
The generator is a Westerbeke 8.5 kw and double gas tanks hold 120 gallons each.
Has 2 full baths, sleeps 8, vacuflush toilets, washer/dryer, 100 gallons fresh water, 100 gallons black water, thermal central cruse air, winless anchor, and driving capabilities up-top.
