1969 Morgan 41 Sloop
This Morgan 41 was designed by Charlie Morgan to be a racer in the Bermuda race. Morgan only built 350 of this hull manufactured from 1967 to 1972. This is not the Out Island model.
The cockpit is situated aft with a nice size seating area. She drafts 4.2 ft, The swing keel was removed and glassed in properly by the previous owner.
The current owner purchased the boat 2 years ago and made many upgrades. He removed the diesel engine and installed a 2023 Electric Yacht QT20 electric motor and added a total of 1,415 watt solar panels with a Victron solar charger and controller. There is also a 3000 watt inverter to keep the batteries topped off when not in use.
The upgrades that the seller added were to make single-handed sailing easy. The electronics were replaced with a B&G GPS. On the bow there is a Tigris windlass for ease of anchoring. There's 100 ft of chain and self-tailing winches, he also added a rigid boom vang.
Down below, she is in good condition with a V-berth forward, a nice hanging locker and a full stand up head with a shower. The galley table converts to a berth as well as the settee can be used for your crew.
For long range cruising, the seller also added a 20 gallon-per-hour watermaker, removed the fuel tank and added an additional water tank for nice water capacity.
This 41 Morgan has a full set of used sails including a spinnaker. She also has a 2021 Highfield UL290LT dinghy with an electric motor, He also added dingy davits to transport the dinghy while under sail.
