With the Mercury 4-stroke, performance is smooth, efficient, and packs enough punch to get planes up quick and maintain a solid cruising speed, usually around 35 to 50 MPH, which is smooth enough for long days on the water without burning too much fuel, and it can hit 50 to 55 MPH, so it's quick enough to get to prime fishing spots or just have some fun skimming across the lake.
