Lake Lure is surrounded by the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Western North Carolina. Constructed in 1927 following the completion of a dam on the Rocky Broad River, the lake has been named one of America’s most gorgeous man–made lakes, and is about 720 acres with over 20 miles of shoreline.

The Lake beckons boaters from far and wide as it was the setting for the 1980’s movie, Dirty Dancing. With it being a sanctuary for serenity and relaxation, it is here that you can also enjoy watersports, fishing or just sightseeing.
