This 1981 CAL 39 is a classic Lapworth-designed cruiser that has been thoughtfully renovated and, most importantly, actually proven as a comfortable liveaboard.
The current owners lived aboard for four years, giving them the opportunity to make the boat more functional, comfortable, and practical for extended time aboard. Rather than simply being a sailboat with accommodations, this CAL 39 has been developed into a genuine home on the water.
A major focus of the renovation was the interior cabinetry. Much of the cabinetry was redone to provide a fresh, clean, and usable living space while retaining the character and warmth expected from a classic cruising sailboat.
The interior offers the space and traditional layout that make the CAL 39 especially appealing for cruising, extended stays, or living aboard.
