This 1987 Hilburn 60 is a houseboat located in Natchitoches, La.
At approximately 60' long and a 14' beam, this boat is well suited for bigwater or small lakes, and witha durable aluminum hull, the ride is terrific according to the seller.
This model offers a blank canvas for you to customize, but has already undergone many improvements and upgrades.
The floorplan is roomy enough to be a great live-aboard option, with a front salon that opens to a large rear porch with overhang for great shade.
The galley kitchen is large and features a residential stove and oven, a residential refrigerator, and tons of counter space.
There is a forward cabin with two twin beds, and this area also houses the stacked washer and dryer.
Moving to the aft section of the boat, you will find a large stateroom with great natural light from multiple windows, patio access to the rear deck, and a master bathroom with a newer macerator toilet and a full-sized combination bathtub and shower.
Outside, the top deck has had its superstructure removed, but the seller still has the parts available and has added a nice railing around the top. This area is really a blank canvas for furniture, or you could do what the seller intended: adding a robust solar panel system for extended off-grid capabilities.
Maneuverability has been greatly improved with the addition of a starboard mounted bow thruster for easier docking.
The rear deck provides easy access to the bilge and engine areas, housing two V8 engines.
Other nice improvements include recent bilge pumps and a power management system.
This boat will need to be moved from its current location, as the seller sailed in from South Louisiana, and the body of water the boat is stored on directly connects to the Red River.
