2006 Albemarle 242 Diesel
Purchased on November 2023. She was picked up on a brand new Rocket Trailer. The next year was spent refurbishing, upgrading, and adding equipment. Her running surface is identical to her ancestor the Formula 233, and her low profile cap adds to her good looks. The forward casting deck provides plenty of storage for gear and gaffs/rods and the transom adds an insulated fish box. The leaning post back rest functions perfectly as a cockpit rocket launcher for your trolling rods or kite fishing setup. With her deep v rounded keel, heavy hull, low center of gravity thanks to center mounted diesel engine, and the SeaKeeper Ride system, she has a very soft ride with the feel of a larger vessel. Additionally, she is very economical to run and has great range thanks to her low fuel consumption. She will comfortably cruise at 25-30 kts at 3+ nmpg with a full Dry Tortugas or Bahamas load, and troll dead bait at 0.5 gph.
