Mercury Racing 400R. Naturally aspirated 5.7L (349 cid) V10, 64-degree bank angle. Quad Cam Four Valve (QC4) aluminum heads, dual overhead cams, 40 valves. Proprietary 92 mm throttle body and tuned intake. Rated 400 hp / 298 kW. Wide-open throttle 6,000-6,600 rpm. Digital Throttle and Shift. Racing Advanced MidSection. 150 amp / 1,890 watt alternator. Idle Charge battery management. Adaptive Speed Control holds rpm when load changes. SmartCraft Engine Guardian. Electric start with SmartStart.
This is Velocity's proven 28' 6" sport-cruiser hull with a pad-bottom deep-V ride, offshore handling, and 100+ MPH potential on twin 400s. Factory tests on this power package have recorded about 104 MPH. You get go-fast performance and a real cabin, not a stripped race boat.
